Shepway and District U3A
Our local branch has over 700 members from the district of Shepway in Kent and includes Folkestone, Hythe, the villages in the North Downs north of these towns and much of the Romney Marsh. Our main activities centre on the subject groups of which there are now around 80. Some information about those which are currently running can be found on the Groups page.
We have regular monthly coffee mornings on the fourth Friday of the month currently at the Tin Tabernacle, Hythe starting at 11.00 am, and the third Wednesday in the month currently at the Clifton Hotel, the Leas, Folkestone, starting at 10.30 am. There are also quarterly coffee mornings at the Ship Hotel, New Romney.
There are regular members' meetings at the Tin Tabernacle, Hythe at 2.00 pm. Outings and social events are also held throughout the year.

The University of the Third Age
The U3A is a learning organisation made up of independent groups run by their members. Members are normally retired or semi-retired from paid employment, and wish to use some of their leisure time to acquire new skills and help others do the same.
