Picasso's Road to Guernica

Jenny Cavanagh is a former art lecturer.

Her talk features the painting known as "Guernica", one of Picasso's best-known works, regarded by many art critics as the most moving and powerful anti-war painting in history.

This famous painting demonstrates the brutality of the bombing of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War.

The large artwork, approximately 11 feet high by 25 feet wide, uses a palette of just grey, black and white.

It is exhibited in the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid.
