We are a friendly group and are lucky to have Val, who is a qualified, experienced Florist, helping us tackle a different arrangement each month. She demonstrates the next month’s design at the end of each session, when we have a cup of tea and watch her. We then try it out the next month.

Photographs are taken and sent to all the members of the group, so everyone can see the arrangements we’ve done and what the next design will be.

Most of our group started with little or no experience of flower arranging, so beginners are welcome.

We try to keep the costs down by providing florist foam, from the local wholesalers, for group members to buy at cost price and by choosing designs which don't use too many flowers. Those who have gardens bring in extra foliage for those without.
