It has been documented that Line Dancing is the best physical and mental exercise you can do.

We are a friendly, informal group meeting at Newington Village Hall (easy parking) on Monday mornings.

At the moment there are three Line Dancing Classes within the Group, spread across two separate sessions, all of which are led by a qualified Teacher. The beginners and the standard class all start together at 09.30am.

The first part of the session is dedicated to new easy dances that we all learn together, and to the steps that the beginners need to learn. The morning progresses to combined dancing as the beginners improve. So from 09.30 to 10.45 we are a combined class which welcomes beginners.

After a break until 11.00 the beginners go home, and the more advanced dancers have their own class from 110.0 to 12.00.

If you would like to join any of these Classes, just apply in any of the usual ways to join the Group at Shepway and District u3a. The Group Leader will then discuss the options with you and arrange with you to attend whichever class or classes seem best for you.

Each session costs £5:00, which goes to the qualified instructor, and to the u3a to offset the hall costs. There is also an optional 30p charge for a coffee or a tea in the break.
