Kent Association for the Blind (KAB)
Its strap line is
“Supporting sight impaired people to live independent lives since 1920”
so KAB has been around a long time supporting and giving advice and information to those living with sight loss, or with concerns about low vision.
If you are a sight impaired person, or know someone who is, you will be aware of the challenges that have to be faced, and the life changing impact that sight loss can have. KAB works to prevent avoidable sight loss, give support, and enable people to live independently.
They work with over 12,000 people in Kent and the surrounding areas to provide services ranging from rehabilitation to equipment and social clubs, depending on the individual needs of each person.
In June, we welcome a speaker from this greatly respected local charity.
