We mix the latest films with some golden oldies: dramas, musicals, and good entertainment are all important ingredients, and your requests and suggestions are always appreciated.

The format for the afternoon is the showing of a feature film preceded by refreshments, allowing us all time to chat with our friends. It is always necessary to book places in advance. Each session will cost just £6, including the tea and cakes.

We meet on the first Wednesday from October 2025 through to July 2026, but the group does not meet during the summer. Details of each session for the Autumn 2025 are given in the newsletter and on this website.

Unusually, this Group does not require you to join to attend its meetings. Instead, any Shepway and District u3a is free to go along to any screening once they have booked and paid for viewing that specific film — see the details below for how to book.

You can also book at coffee mornings or by post if you are unable to use the form on the website.

The closing date for bookings is the Friday before the Matinée date. Cancellations also accepted up to the Friday before the event.
