At the moment, we have ten members in the Group, which is the maximum number that can be accommodated by the Group Leader. New Group members are not being accepted at the moment, but names can be added to the waiting list by applying in the usual way.

The Group Leader writes:

We are all on email, and we send out our stories each month to everyone on the list to read in advance. If only a few members are attending (as happens when people go on holiday!) we can often read them out aloud again at the meeting. Our critiques are always encouraging, with a tendency to some good-natured teasing!

We normally have about 3 titles to choose from, and sometimes we do speed writing exercises or bring pictures or objects to write about instead. I try to ring the changes and everyone is able to contribute ideas both new and old!

I am very relaxed about members selecting something different to the titles given if they are uninspired by them, or writing non-fiction or poetry if the muse takes them.

We usually take a break for a couple of months during the summer (July and August).

The main idea is that we enjoy our meetings and each other's company and input".
